Gaia finally knows who she is and what she’s meant to do. It’s only been a few weeks since the earth element woke in her. Now that she’s embracing her role as Mother Nature, she must journey with her group of power-wielding friends in a race against time to get back home before Azazel reaches them.

With the awakening of a brand new element, her true past with Edan, a dangerous decision that could change the very essence of who she is, and a traitor among her group, the broken road back to Terra will be a test of strength.

After all, even if Gaia doesn’t know it, war is closer than she thinks.

Author Interview:
1.  What does your writing process look like? Do you know the whole story when you start?  Or do you just start writing and go with it (seat of the pants writing)?  If you plan it out, how do you do that?  Outline, notecards, post-it-notes, etc.?
I plan everything for months before I write. Every time I start a new book (from SW series or another one), it looks like a cool detective’s office. I have my walls covered with maps, outlines, notes and drawings. I have charts with every single detail on the characters (how they look, what they like, new additions, etc) and I have a massive timeline of the entire series. That way I know every step my characters need to take to reach the ending.

2.  How do you come up with your ideas for your stories?
I find that inspiration comes from unexpected places. Random people, things you hear, things you see, even things you smell. One time my lightbulb flickered and stopped working, that little thing inspired me to write an entire chapter.

3.  How long have you been writing?
I’ve been writing since I was 6. When I was 19, I started to write professionally, although my work were mainly screenplays. It wasn’t until I was 25 when I decided to switch to books.

4.  What tips do you have for aspiring writers?
Patience on everything you do. With your writing, with choosing your path, etc. Just because someone is interested in your book, doesn’t mean you have to give it to them. Take your time and always think your options. That, and plan, write, edit = repeat!

5.  What are your favorite:
Books/authors/genres: it’s like choosing a favorite from your kids, but I’ll have to say… Harry Potter (books), Adriana González Márquez (author) and Fantasy/Romance (genres)
Movies/TV Shows: Movies… I have so many!! But recently, I loved King ArthurSupernatural (TV Show)
Music: Favorite (now) N Grandjean, Lykke Li, Stars and London Grammar.
Food/Writing snack: Sushi/French fries (food) and Grapes/Popcorn (writing snack)
